Happy Holidays!

The craziest fuckin' house we've ever seen.

We were driving down a major street in Phoenix, when we saw signs advertising "Santa's House - Free Tours". The lights were so bright, we could see them from a block away, even though the house was around the corner.

Room after room had been severely redecorated for the holidays.

We were greeted at the front door by the guy who owned the house. I'm guessing he's single.

I can only imagine how much time goes into setting everything up. It seems like a year-round full-time gig.

Hmmm... No underwater Christmas decorations? What a slacker!

The dude's angel collection puts my Satan beer bottle collection to shame.

We counted over forty trees scattered around the house. My favorite was this upside down one.

The garage was redecorated to resemble a 99 cent store. All these Xmas items had price tags on them.

I'm still not sure where the guy sleeps. The house is completely uninhabitable.

Write On

I haven't blogged in a while because I've been preoccupied with the writer's strike. (As a writer on strike, that seems reasonable). If you're interested at all, I implore you to check out LAist, for whom I've been filing a report "from the front line" nearly every day.

Race For A Cure

This morning, Gina got up at 6am and ran a half-marathon in Long Beach! That's 13.1 miles! Not only did Gina acheive the amazing acomplishment of completing the race. She also raised over $2,500 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Thank you friends!

Gina's been training for several months with a group called Team in Training. They abbreviate their organizations' name as T.N.T. But we all know that it should be T.I.T.

Several bands played along the course. I saw this band doing a Credence Clearwater Revival song...
And I saw this band do a song by the Cure...

Volunteers were giving free massages at the end of the race. The line was almost as long as the half-marathon.
I found this row of port-o-pottys very photogenic. I also found it funny that there was a homeless guy peeing in the bushes right behind them.

Gina finished the race in 2 hours and 55 minutes! Great job Gina!
